NOT TOO NARROW, NOT TOO DEEP still wins in most perverse juxtaposition of title and cover image. Impressive to have them all laid out like that.
Yes, seeing these cover images once again reminds us that today's cover art is pretty sorry in comparison. I guess the decline of the slicks, pulps, and digests killed the golden age of illustration.
And what to say of tros? Strong name!
Many fine titles. I discovered Coxe in 2010 and will grabbed a book whenever I see the name on the cover.
You have my mouth watering all over again for these books. A fantastic group! Can't wait to see what you will uncover in 2011.
Who Knows what Forgotten Books lie waiting in the bowels of my storage units? Not me. My memory's going. It's likely that even The Shadow doesn't Know.
I have 7 of them, one a gift from you. I have read only 4 of those, so I have a lot of good reading ahead. Also ahead, more FFBs from you for 2011, Something to really look forward to!
Great reading list -- and some cool covers, too.
Red Ryder and Gene Autry? I thought they stayed in comic books and didn't wander into pulps. Live and learn?
Red Ryder was a comic strip that wandered into comic books, radio, films and novels. Gene, of course, started in films and crossed into all the other media. But neither, as far as I know, made it into the pulps.
Wonderful books, great covers! I'm looking forward to your picks for 2011!
