Very colorful expositions of two angry men armed to the teeth.

I read this back in the 90s and thought it was pretty well done for what it was. I was kinda amazed at the time that Lansdale got away with making it so dark-- even including Cthulu elements-- since I had always heard that the owners of LR were protective of their property.

I liked the way he handled the relation between LR and Tonto and I think some of it was incorporated into the recent film version. I wish it had been a straight version of this comic though instead... it would have been better IMO.

Speaking of Tonto... Jay Silverheels was seen on METV Saturday 7/26 in an episode of "Wanted: Dead or Alive" with Steve McQueen. He aquited himself very well as an Apache wrongly accused of killing a rancher. Josh Randell tracked him down and, in the process of bringing him in, foiled the real killer and allowed Mr Silverheels to testify against the criminal. ~ El Kabong

Good to know Our Man Tonto ended up on the "Alive" side of the register.
